For the second year in a row, James I. O’Neill High School has been ranked first in Orange County high schools in the annual US News & World Reports ‘Best High School’ list.
On Tuesday, April 30, the O’Neill Women’s Choir travelled to Nyack High School to participate in the annual New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) Major Organ-izations Rating Festival.
O’Neill High School seniors Miriam Rice and Joe McInvale were among 32 area students who were honored on April 25 “distinguishing themselves in the arts and humanities during their high school careers” at Orange-Ulster BOCES sixth annual Senior Scholar Humanities Breakfast.
Seven members of the O’Neill High School senior class and the Youth-in-Government Club attended the annual Orange County Youth Service Day on April 5. There, their high school was honored.
With construction underway on the field and track area of O’Neill High School, the public who uses the area for exercise should plan on it not being available by the end of this week, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Frank Sheboy said.
After advancing through two phases of online competition, the O’Neill High School JROTC Academic Team will head to Catholic University in Washington DC to compete in the championship event of the US Army JROTC Academic Bowl.
O’Neill High School junior Rex Young was among the participants at the Spring 2019 Frances Hesselbein Student Leadership program, established by the Military Child Education Coalition.
