They’ll present Shakespeare’s As You Like It

The O’Neill High School Drama Club proudly presents As You Like It for a public audience from December 2-4; the community is invited to head to the high school to see O’Neill Drama’s modern take on this classic Shakespearean romantic comedy!

As You Like It, by William Shakespeare, is a joyous tale of freedom and empowerment that follows the resilient heroine Rosalind as she falls in love with the strong and handsome Orlando at a wrestling match.  However, when she is cast out by her greedy uncle, Duke Frederick, she leaves home with her witty cousin Celia and the mocking jester Touchstone, to stay in the forest of Arden where they find love, new friends, and lost family.

The show is directed by the new-to-O’Neill duo of Aaron and Mara Davi Gaines.

Tickets are available at www.jiohs.booktix.com and will be sold at the door. General admission is $10 and students and seniors are $5.

Showtimes are Friday, December 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3 and 7 p.m. and at 3p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.

In the cast are students: Randi Kassa, Eleanor Sullivan, Patrick Flynn, Tyler Dehm, Kathryn Laird, Kaylene Heyman, Krista Patel, Ava Hurtado, Tim Podias, Abigail Kreh, Quinn Manning, Nora Nowicki, Ava Lopez, Ben Davis, Megan Charlton, Ava Rivera, Grace Quander and Lizzie Visger.
