Despite an international pandemic, the Town of Highlands will hang it’s Military Tribute banners, as well as new First Responder banners, along Main St. in Highland Falls and Rt. 9W in Fort Montgomery this summer.

It is with heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Darlene “Boots” Drechsler. She passed away at her home in Susquehanna, Penn. on Saturday, May 9, 2020 surrounded by family.
Perhaps a few more remembrances of 1940’s and 1950’s Highland Falls will ease the angst and loneliness that must be part of many lives during these times.
When they open their village tax bills soon, Highland Falls taxpayers can expect to see the tax rate go up from $10.53 per $1000 of assessed valuation to $10.61 per $1000 of assessed valuation.
