Boo!
The community’s annual Trunk or Treat event, co-sponsored by the town’s Girl Scouts and Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 31 in Highland Falls. Leading up to it is a parade of costumes, from Memorial Park to the municipal lot where the Trunk-or-Treat is held.
It all starts at 6 p.m.
Costumed participants (and their parents) who want to be in the parade should meet at Memorial Park at 5:45 p.m. The parade will make its way north on Main St., and Trunk-or-Treat begins as soon as the parade gets there, and ends at 7:30 p.m.
Help is needed in the form of more vehicles or groups to set up in the parking lot to hand out candy and treats to the youngsters participating, and “more candy is always needed”. About 150 children attend Trunk-or-Treat each year.
Prizes will be awarded for the best Trunk-or-Treat displays.
Individuals, businesses or community groups wishing to get involved should email trunkortreathf@gmail.com.
