Last year the community’s July 4th celebration consisted of a drive-by parade and lots of little fireworks displays set off by residents that were mostly illegal since New York banned fireworks by private citizens several years ago.

Trombone concert for a good cause

Four plus 152 equals 156. That’s how many people watched three trombonists play their hearts out last Saturday evening, with many of them opening wallets at end to help raise money for the Church of the Holy Innocents Food Pantry in Highland Falls.
