It is with heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Darlene “Boots” Drechsler. She passed away at her home in Susquehanna, Penn. on Saturday, May 9, 2020 surrounded by family.
Perhaps a few more remembrances of 1940’s and 1950’s Highland Falls will ease the angst and loneliness that must be part of many lives during these times.

As school districts around the county prepared to close in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Cornwall High School senior Sydney Nichols joked with her friends saying if the district isn’t prepared with an at-home curriculum for students, her mother is certainly prepared.
