The Board of Eduction has appointed O’Neill High School English as a Second Language teacher Christine Susskind as the high school’s assistant principal for the 2021-22 school year. To accept the new position, she took a leave of absence from her ESL job.
Susskind has her ‘professional school building leader certifiate’ which enables her to serve in the interim position. It is open because current Assistant Principal Robin Haberman will serve as the school’s interim principal for the 2021-22 school year.
Susskind told the board she is looking forward to the new job, saying “I’m really looking forward to working with Mrs. Haberman; I think we will make a good team.”
The board also hired a new director of facilities last week. Adam Rubin was hired for the job, beginning June 16. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Frank Sheboy thanked Fort Montgomery’s Jim McGuinness for filling in as a temporary facilities manager for the last few months.
