The West Point Town of Highlands Farmers Market is set to open its 2020 season on Sunday June, 14.

It will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays, in the municipal parking lot across from Sacred Heart Church on Main St.
“We are happy to welcome back vendors and customers,” Akenataa Hammagaadji, Market committee member said.

He said ‘the regulars’ of the market will notice changes this year.

“Customers are kindly asked to use the one designated entrance at the north end of the parking lot and then to exit at the south end,” he said. “Please wear masks and maintain social distancing. In an effort to greatly minimize risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, only vendors may touch and handle merchandise. Thank you all for your cooperation in following these guidelines.”

Vendors scheduled for opening day include: Florida Deli & Bakery (authentic Polish foods), New York Pickleman (pickles & olives), John Lupinski Farms (fresh vegetables), Rob’s Roast Coffee (roasted whole beans & ground coffee), R.J.M. Honey (honey, pollen, candles & soap), Pomo Ridge Farm (fresh fruits), Grand Mango Caribbean Cuisine, Laughing Gut (kombucha, a fermented tea beverage), Morgiewicz Produce (fresh vegetables) and M&M Italian Provisions (Italian bread, sausages & cheeses).

It is encouraged this year to pre-order when possible; visit vendor’s websites or Facebook pages for information on how to do so.
