Douglas W. Howe passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at home in Highland Falls. He was 43 years old.
Son of Fran M. Greenbaum Howe and the late Robert J. Howe, he was born in Suffern on Sept. 23, 1976.
Douglas lost his father Robert, who worked for the 44 Precinct, in the line of duty, and Fran was a single mother ever since. Douglas was a self-employed caretaker who spent his life caring for his mother who meant so much to him. He was the comedian of the family who could make anyone laugh at the drop of a hat. He has met numerous celeberties and was an extra for many movies.
Survivors include his loving mother, Fran M. Howe; his brother Brian R. Howe, of New York City; his niece Katie; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his beloved dog, Boston.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, from 2-4 p.m. at the William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls. A Prayer Service will begin promptly at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
