Learn about electric cars on 9/15
The ninth annual National Drive Electric Week is September 14-22. Hundreds of electric vehicle celebrations will take place across the country in big cities and small towns. Electric vehicles are not only better for the environment, but they’re also affordable and fun to drive.
To celebrate, the Town of Highlands Citizen Environmental Advisory Committee will host an event on September 15. There will be information about electric vehicles and a car show of several cars with their owners standing by to answer questions.
The event is free to the public and will take place during the Farmers Market (9 a.m. until 2 p.m). Space is limited but a few additional vehicles from local residents can be accomodated — anyone in the Town of Highlands who owns an all electric or hybrid vehicle who would like to participate can contact Olga Anderson at 917-509-1200.
