There are two events coming up at Mine Dock Park, its Friends group announced this week. A concert/picnic with Stephen Storms will take place on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 6-8 p.m. Jesse Marvin will be on hand with Two Dogs Hot Dogs. Then, on Sunday, Sept. 8, a dedication of the recently-installed propellers (see above) from the tugboat Mary Gallatly (which participated in the evacuation of people from lower Manhattan to New Jersey on 9/11) will take place at 3 p.m. There is no rain date for either event.
