At the Farmers Market

And so the season begins …

Sunday, June 16 is Opening Day/Customer Appreciation Day at the West Point-Town of Highlands Farmers Market, held in the municipal parking lot across from Sacred Heart Church.

“It’s Father’s Day and the day will be filled with fun and food!” Market Manager Karen Parashkevov said.

Get a Customer Appreciation Day coupon at manager’s desk, enjoy ‘funtastic’ kids activities (including jump rope, drawing, coloring books, bean toss and storybook reading at noon); and the popular book sales are back again this year.

Produce and product vendors expected on site for the first week of the market are: Bear Mountain Bakery & Café (fresh coffee, tea, bread), Mande B Designs (jewelry and scarves), Florida Bakery & Deli (authentic Polish food), Annie’s Pretty Prints (scrap quilting), John Lupinski Farms (fresh produce), Elle’s Elations (handmade soaps & more), Morgiewicz Produce (fresh produce), Hillaire Farm of Scott’s Circle (goats milk soap), New York Pickle Man (pickled goods), Kat’s Glimmer Candle Bar (DIY candles), Pomo Ridge Farm (fruit, fresh produce), Yescreative (handcrafted goods), Pooch Pawstries (dog treats), Young Living Essential Oil (oils, green cleaner), R.J.M Honey (local honey) and sucre’ 94 (fine pastries and sweets).

As well, there will be ready-made food available from Grand Mango Caribbean Foods; live music by Rip and the Sleepy Hollow Boys; and Suncommon will have information on solar energy.
