About a dozen local children and teens — and a few adult chaperones — walked Main St. from the Ambulance Hall to Thayer Gate early Sunday afternoon to collect garbage. They gathered quite a few large bags full. Organizers Nicole Renda and Desiree Talley thanked B. Rose Hardware for the donation of the bags they used, and West Point Pizza for feeding the hot and hungry volunteers when they were done. Thanks, kids, for a job well done!
