David Hurst and John Jones have both worked for the Village of Highland Falls for more than 30 years — they were honored at Monday’s Village Board meeting. “They were both born and raised here, married and have raised their own children here,” Mayor Joe D’Onofrio said, citing their dedication to the community. D’Onofrio also received a similar ‘certificate of public service’ from the NY Conference of Mayors, as will former Water Plant Superintendent Kevin Hurst and DPW’s Pablo Pulido.
