At the most recent meeting of the Board of Education, a new executive secretary for Superintendent of Schools Dr. Frank Sheboy was hired.
Marisa Frederick will take the job, at an annual salary of $55,000, beginning April 3. She replaces Cora Oberst, who left the district at the start of the new year.
In another personnel matter, the board appointed Maj. (ret) Bradley Damschen as the senior JROTC instructor at O’Neill High School, effective April 1. He replaces Lt. Col. Silas Bowman who retired this month.
The board also appointed six spring coaches: Connor Broesler as varsity boys’ lacrosse assistant (stipend of $2048), Rob Conklin as varsity track assistant coach ($1462), Nicole Dougherty as softball program assistant (unpaid), Kenneth Kirschner as baseball program assistant (unpaid), Rokhasha Michael-Razi as varsity boys tennis coach ($2897), and Margaret Trieble as modified softball coach ($1976). They also accepted the resignation of Wilmina Sainbert as modified co-head softball coach.
In one final appointment, the board appointed Gennaro Falco has part of the school’s athletic security team at a rate of $15.30 an hour.
