Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District Superintendent Dr. Frank Sheboy and the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, Inc. are among those who will be honored at the 16th annual ‘People who Make a Difference’ recognition breakfast on Saturday, April 6. The fundraising event is co-hosted by The Center of Highland Falls, Inc. and the Hudson Valley Women’s Association & Friends.

Also to be honored is Dr. Crystal Waterman, a principal in Westchester County; the Ice Cream Shoppe (as Business of the Year and for its community support); and ‘Rising Stars’ Zachary Sizemore of Highland Falls and Maj. Raphael Waruinge of West Point.

Typically, scholarships are also presented at the breakfast to local graduating high school students.

The breakfast will be held at the West Point Club, with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 a.m. Tickets are $30 per person in advance (available by calling 446-5983 or at The Center, 274 Main St., Highland Falls) or $40 at the door.

All proceeds go toward scholarships and youth programs. There is also a program for which advertising can be purchased, ranging from $10 to $150. Information on advertising is available at the aforementioned location/phone number. Advertising information is due by March 10.
