On Tuesday, three Highland Falls men were confirmed to be on the ballot for the village’s March 19 election for two trustees, Village Clerk Gina Taylor said.
However …
As of mid-day Wednesday, there were just two.
“Pat Flynn’s petition was challenged, and the Orange County Board of Elections determined it to be invalid, with not enough valid signatures,” Taylor said. “He will not be on the ballot.”
DiSalvo told The News Tuesday that last week he had filed a general objection with Taylor so that he could review both Flynn and Brian Aylward’s petitions, “a customary thing,” he said. As a result, he said he saw what he believed to be “inaccuracies” in Flynn’s petition.
On the ballot, DiSalvo will be on line A as the Highland Falls United ticket; Brian Aylward will be on line B as the Community Action Plan ticket.
It should be noted that Flynn, in 2012, won a seat on the board in a write-in campaign.
