In one of the first ‘real’ races held in the lower half of New York State in 2020, the West Point-Highland Falls Rotary Club hosted it’s ninth annual Storm King Run on Sunday morning.
West Point-Highland Falls Rotarians have revitalized the 20-year-old wooden soldiers — built by the late “Bill” Higgins — which decorate Ladycliff Park in Highland Falls each holiday season.
Members of the West Point-Highland Falls Rotary Club, and a few related teens, gathered at Peacedale Cemetery on Sunday afternoon to pick up American flags before disbursing to the town’s other cemeteries to place flags on the graves of veterans.
