By now it’s a well known fact just how destructive the pandemic has been to the Arts and Entertainment industries. Concerts canceled, museums and galleries shuttered, even Broadway has gone dark.
On Thursday, Feb. 4 the Board of Education of the Highland Falls-Fort Mont-gomery Central School District approved higher-risk winter sports to be played.
Over nine percent of the United States population has already received the COVID-19 vaccination and New York is preparing to open up inoculations to another segment of the population starting Feb. 15.
A “very productive meeting” was held in late January which appeared to allow for more access for the community at a building formally named the Highland Falls Senior Center.
The county executive was upbeat on Jan. 6, and so were many of the health-care workers who waited to be vaccinated. Several people called it an “emotional event.”
It’s been a tough year for small businesses. Some were closed for months during the pandemic. Others lost revenue, because their customers were short of funds or avoiding public places. Almost every business has incurred new expenses to keep their clientele safe.
