Julia “Dolly” DeMatteis, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 4th, 2024 where she resided in Highland Falls, NY. She is adored by her loving husband William “Willy” DeMatteis, who she met when they were children and have been married for 69 years. She was survived by her loving sisters, Virginia Milano and Anna Ressa and (spouse Joseph). Dolly and Willy settled in Peekskill NY and gave birth to 4 children, Graceann, William (spouse Linda), Maryann (spouse Ralph) and Joanna. Our mom leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, not to mention many nieces, nephews and good friends. Dolly’s greatest gift was passing her faith and love on to her children and anyone else she could touch. Our mom shared her heart with everyone and will truly be missed.

Barbara A. Weissmann passed away on January 4, 2024, at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown, NY. She was 78 years old. Daughter of the late Wilber and Ann (Petruno) Adams, she was born in Cornwall, NY, on March 30, 1945.
Barbara was a clerk for over 25 years at Hudson Valley D.D.S.O formally known as Letchworth Village in Thiells, NY. Barbara was a proud member and former Treasurer of the 4 Paws Humane Society in Town of Highlands.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Walter A. Weissmann of Montrose, NY; children: John C. Weissmann of Wilkes Barre, PA; Thomas Weissmann (Kate) of Wallkill, NY; Linda Riello (Ricky) of St. Marys, KS; and Deedee (Bishopp) Weber (Eric) of Broadalbin, NY; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a nephew and many cousins.
Barbara was pre-deceased by her sister and brother in law, Betty & Robert Johnston.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls, NY 10928. A Graveside Service will follow immediately after at 12:15 p.m. at Eagle Valley Cemetery.
