Marion E. Sullivan passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. She was 98 years old.
The daughter of the late Jerome R. McDougal, Sr. and Edna M. (DeRonde) McDougal, Marion was born on February 2, 1925 in Lynbrook, NY.
Marion was a retired Bookkeeper for Marine Midland Bank in Highland Falls, NY for many years. She was a longtime Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Church in Highland Falls as well.
The Family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the Staff at the Promenade at Middletown for all the care given to Mom over the past 14 years, The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, and to all those who shared their thoughts and prayers with us. We truly appreciate all of the love and support. Mom is back with Dad and on another train ride bound for eternal happiness!
Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband: Arthur T. Sullivan in 2017. She is survived by her children: Irene E. Rockaway and her husband Alex of Coatesville, PA; Ann L. Sullivan of Belen, NM; Thomas P. Sullivan and his wife Janet of Monroe, NY and their family: Dan (Jana) and their children: Austin and Max, and Jill (Yianni) and their children: Christian and Emma; Jean M. Carroll and her husband Tony of Coatesville, PA and their family: Sean and his sons: Jack and Jace and Ryan (Ajima): daughter-in-law Nancy Sullivan and her son: Ben (Kelly) and their son: Colton; Brian P. Sullivan and his wife Peggy of Peekskill, NY and their family: Brian Robert, TJ and Mac; Richard J. Sullivan and his wife JoAnne of Highland Mills, NY and their family: Shannan (James) and their children: Brennan and Kaelyn, Tim (Brittney) and their son: Hunter, Michelle (Bryan) and their daughter: Evie, Kelli (Nick) and their sons: Logan, Connor and Ethan, Mackenzie and Kiera. In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by her daughter: Baby Mary; her son: Raymond J. Sullivan; her brothers: Edward, Walter, Jerome, and George; her sisters: Jeannette McGown and Dorothy M. Schnedeker.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1st at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2nd at St. Patrick’s RC Church, 448 Route 32, Highland Mills, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at Cemetery of The Highlands, Highland Mills, NY.
