Margaret K. Cooper

April 27, 1938—December 15, 2022

Highland Falls, NY

Margaret K. Cooper passed away on December 15, 2022, at Yorktown Rehab & Nursing Center in Cortlandt, NY. She was 84 years old. Daughter of the late John F. and Clara M. (Pete) Bott, she was born on April 27, 1938, in Rochester, MI. 

Margaret dedicated her life to being a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Margaret was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and Blessed Sacrament. 

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Teresa Ann Cooper (Christine Giacopelli) of Danbury, CT; Charles E. Cooper II (Kate) of Mystic, CT; and John A. Cooper (Jennifer) of Highland Falls, NY; sister Kathy Spacone (Dan) of El Cajon, CA; grandchildren: Allyson Cooper, TylerJohn (Nikki) Cooper, Michaela (Clayton) Vermeesch, Guinevere (Brendon) Johns, and Atticus Cooper; great grandchildren: Ryan Elaina Whittaker and Grace Hudson Cooper, and by her niece and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was also predeceased by her husband Charles Cooper and sister MaryJo White.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main St., Highland Falls, NY 10928. Inurnment will be private. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.

Lawrence J. Marchese

November 28, 1941—December 13, 2022

Fishkill, NY

Lawrence J. Marchese “Larry the Legend” a resident of Fishkill, NY, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on December 13, 2022. He was 81 years old. 

Larry was born in the Bronx, NY on November 28, 1941, the son of the late Louis and Rhoda (Uhlings) Marchese. 

After high school, Larry started out as a Mechanic until 1995 when he opened Marchese Chevrolet in Fort Montgomery, NY. He continued to own and operate the car dealership until his death. 

He was an avid boater, known to many as the “King of the River”, he enjoyed jet skiing, golfing, skiing and riding his motorcycle, he was the Master Chef of the family and enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family and friends. 

Larry is survived by the love of his life, his wife Leslie; his children, Lisa Marchese, Bryan Marchese, and Kristen Walsh and her husband Bryan; grandchildren, Shane Siezmore and Ari Rose Marchese and a grandson on the way; great-granddaughter, Riley Siezmore; his brother, Louis Marchese and his wife Janet; his sister Martha Ruffino; his sister-in-law, Suzanne Crew and her husband Cory; his brother-in-law, Philip Puleo; and several nieces and nephews. 

Larry was predeceased by his daughter, Laura Marchese; and his brother-in-law, Frank Ruffino. 

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 2pm-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY with a service starting at 6pm.
