Highland Falls, NY

Alfred J. “Duke” Lent passed away on November 5, 2022, at his residence in Highland Falls, NY. He was 86 years old. Son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Garrison) Lent, he was born on December 23, 1935, in Newburgh, NY.

Duke proudly served his country from 1956 to 1958 in the U.S. Army where he primarily served overseas in Schweinfurt, Germany. After his Honorable Discharge, Duke became a Contracting Officer Representative for the Department of Engineering and Housing for the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. Duke was a proud 75 year member of the Fort Montgomery Methodist Church and former member of the Fort Montgomery Fire Department. He was an avid sports enthusiast who really enjoyed playing softball and golf. He appreciated the time spent having coffee with friends at Rafferty’s and later at Andy’s. Duke was a 1955 graduate of Highland Falls High School and always looked forward to his class reunions.
