Peter J. Clark of Highland Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the age of 63. Born on September 10, 1958, in Ridgewood, NJ, Peter was the son of the late Mary (Miles) and William Stuart Clark Jr.
Peter was the Supervisor of Custodial Operations at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY and previous owner of P.J. Clark Trucking in Lyndhurst, NJ. He was an avid outdoorsman whose greatest joy was fishing with his children and brother. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Highland Falls, NY, where he volunteered at the thrift store in addition to donating his time at the Church of Holy Innocents’ annual Thanksgiving Dinner.
Peter is survived by his children: Christian “CJ” Clark and his wife Stacey of Parsippany, NJ; Patrick Clark of Morristown, NJ; Sean Clark and his wife Lauren of Jersey City, NJ; and Colleen Clark of Vernon, NJ. He is additionally survived by his wife Laurie Clark of Washington Township, NJ and by his sisters: Jill Rose and her husband Ed of Highland Falls, NY, and Mary “Ronnie” Coffey and her husband Kevin, also of Highland Falls, NY; and by his five grandchildren: Averie, Austin, Adalynn, Audriana, and Savannah. Peter was predeceased by his brother William Stuart “Skip” Clark, III.
Peter will be remembered for his: kind and compassionate spirit, infectious laugh, and unforgettable sense of humor. As a loyal sports fan, he was consistently rooting for the NY Yankees, Giants, Rangers and, of course, the Black Knights.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27th at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main Street, Highland Falls, followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
