Mary J. Livsey passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at her home in Fort Montgomery, NY. She was 81 years old.
Daughter of the late Peter Chonko and Bertha Bresko Chonko, Mary was born on February 7, 1941 in Suffern, NY. Mary was the Co-Owner of Richie’s Little Place in Fort Montgomery along with her husband, Bob. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Highland Falls, NY; and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Highland Falls, NY. Mary’s passion for crocheting brought joy to many people as she gifted hundreds of baby blankets, baby clothes and afghans.
Survivors include her husband, Mervin R. “Bob” Livsey, Sr. at home; son, Mervin R. Livsey, Jr. of Highland Falls, NY; sister, Patricia Ryan of Salisbury Mills, NY; and granddaughter, Shannon Hansen of Garnerville, NY. She was predeceased by her daughter, Roswitha H. Livsey.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 5 to 8 P.M. at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fort Montgomery, NY. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY.
