Raymond J. Mesaris, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at his residence in Fort Montgomery, NY. He was 54 years old. Son of the late Raymond J. Sr. and Anne (Conley) Mesaris, he was born on June 29, 1967, in Cornwall, NY.
Raymond was a proud Police Officer for the Town of Tuxedo Police Department, a former Police Officer for the Village of Highland Falls Police Department and for Bear Mountain State Park Police. Ray was also the former Assistant Chief of the Fort Montgomery Fire Department, and a Lifetime Patriot Member of V.F.W. Post #8858 in Harriman, NY. He loved fishing, hunting, and taking road trips with his family. He also enjoyed his morning coffee at Andy’s and evenings at Richie’s Little Place.
Left to cherish his memory are Lynae S. Mesaris, of Highland Falls, NY, the mother of their children; Joseph E. Mesaris of Highland Falls, NY; Amanda L. Mesaris of Ocala, FL; and Rachel L. Mesaris also of Highland Falls, NY. And by his sisters: Kathryn Pole of Denton, TX; Betsy Lane of Port Charlotte, FL; and Christine Deegan of Haverstraw, NY. He will be missed by family, friends, and his Cuz Joe.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Highland Falls, NY 10928. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to V.F.W. Post #8858, 50 River Road, Harriman, NY 10926.
