Reginald Anthony Correa

November 7, 1928—May 1, 2021

Reginald (Reggie) Anthony Correa passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 92 on May 1, 2021, at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on November 7, 1928, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, to Antone and Mary Correa (nee Silva), Reggie was a loving big brother to Elaine Northrup (nee Correa), wife of Charles Northrup.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army for thirty years at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point in New York. Attaining the rank of Master Sergeant, Reggie was a longstanding member of the USMA Band, the Army’s oldest and most prestigious active-duty band. An accomplished musician, he played both the clarinet and alto saxophone. He later went on to spend decades in civil service.

Loving husband to Joan Correa (nee Blewett) for 60 years before her passing in 2011, Reggie was a caring and hardworking father to Mary Katherine, Sharon, Toni and Jeannette (who predeceased him in 2015). He later became a doting grandfather to Soraya, Shannon, Betania, Adriane, Sara, Tiffany, Jennifer and Alicia, and great-grandfather to Liliana, Bruce, Gabriella, Isaac, Annabella, Caleb and Micah.

Reggie Correa lived long and well, loving beautiful music, the grandeur of nature, happy laughter, delicious food and, above all, his family. He will be missed and never forgotten.
