Kathleen (Kay) A. Dapra passed away peacefully on August 27, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on April 21, 1944, in Manhattan, to Joseph and Mary Tohill and was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Joseph (Joey) Tohill.

Kathleen, affectionately called Nanny, leaves behind her beloved husband of 57 years, Lawrence G. Dapra Jr. and their three daughters: Suzanne (Javier) Oliva, Michelle (Greg) Atkinson, and Laura (Steve) Guzman. She is also survived by her sisters Maureen (Bob) Maki and Eileen (Mike) Rende. She leaves behind her very cherished and sweet grandchildren Stephen (Alexandra), Ryan, Christopher, Blake, Ali, Nicholas, and Alex as well as her wonderful nieces and nephews.

Kay was a 1963 Highland Falls High School graduate and would later in life earn a Bachelor’s in Business Management with Honors from the University of Texas, San Antonio. In 1963, Kay married West Point graduate, Larry Dapra. Larry’s assignments took them to Europe, Asia and throughout the United States. They enjoyed going on cruises and traveling to new places.

Kay will always be known for her huge and giving heart, love of gourmet cooking, all things Irish, going to garage sales with her great friend, Sue Bothwell, and spoiling her grandchildren with love and affection. Kathleen was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Our angel in Heaven will be dearly missed by all who have been touched by her presence and love. Until we meet again.
