Shirley B. Lewis passed away on Sat-urday, May 23, 2020 at Mon-tefiore St. Luke’s Corn-wall Hospital, in Newburgh. She was 76 years old.
Daughter of the late Llewellyn and Dorothy Conklin Potter, she was born on June 4, 1943, in Cornwall. Shirley was the director of lacrosse operations for the Army Athletics Association in West Point, from 1988-2013.
Survivors include her children, Jeffery Colbert of Highland Falls, John Colbert of Highland Falls, and Patricia Jados of Highland Falls; her sisters Deanna Hembree of Highland Falls, and Gloria Roberts of Highland Falls; and her grandchildren Christopher, Cody, Rachael and Nicholas Jados.
Shirley was predeceased by her siblings Robert, Arthur, John Mains and Donna Protuck, and by her first husband Clarence A. Colbert, whom she remained best of friends with until his passing in 2019, and her second husband William R. Lewis.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
