Garden Club of the Highlands says thanks
The Village and Town look so festive this year thanks to the great work of Vision and the village Beautification Committee, business owners and houses of worship.
Members of our community have also been incredibly creative with the wonderful holiday decorations. Driving through Highland Falls and Fort Montgomery we saw the beautiful spirit of the season.
Grab some hot cocoa & candy canes, put on your favorite seasonal tunes and take a drive to see these and more for yourself! The following are a sampling of the delightful displays:
• Jean Woodruff and daughter Moe, at 12 Jevens Road in Highland Falls (You can see their beautiful display from Mountain Avenue)
• Mr. & Mrs. Eisle, at 4 Wilson Court in Highland Falls
• Richard O’Brien, at 55 Laurel Lane in Highland Falls
• Sarah and Cecil Damato, at 51 Kleitz Ave. in Highland Falls
• Patrick and Mary Moynihan, at 21 Satterlee Road in Highland Falls
• Ron and Joanie Buchholz, at 7 Highland Ave. in Fort Montgomery
• James and Kathy Ripa at 34 Bridge Terrace in Fort Montgomery
• Mary and Jim McCormack at 2 Overlook Place in Fort Montgomery.
A few other highlights not to be missed are the tree made of Green Christmas lights at the very top of Drew Avenue; the houses at the corner of Villa Parkway & Laurel Lane in Highland Falls; and the lights and blow-ups all along Franklin Street in Fort Montgomery.
The Garden Club of the Highlands will be making a donation to the Holy Innocents and Sacred Heart food pantries in honor of our neighbors who shared the spirit of the season with their festive decorations.
Happy Holidays and wishes for the best of everything in 2020.
