Another successful Family Fun Night was held at the Highland Falls Intermediate School on November 1 — close to 250 students and their families enjoyed an evening of fun, food and festivities inside the school.
A highlight for most students, organizers said, was the mini golf course created by 6th grade students in Mrs. Magyar’s STREAM class.
“We were happy to partner with our music department this year in hosting Open Mic Night this year,” school officials added, “we are always looking to expand on the events offered to our families, and encourage volunteers to host a new activity each year. Thanks to all of our volunteers who contributed to another successful event. We appreciate all you do for our community!”
This bi-annual event is open to all students and families Pre-K through 8th grade to promote Family and Community Engagement in our schools. It is free for families and students to attend and is organized and run 100 percent by volunteers from the school and community, including O’Neill high School students.
The next Family Fun Night will the held outside at the school (weather permitting) on Friday, May 15.
