Ceremony filled with fun was June 24
Two classes full of fun-loving four and five year olds graduated from the Fort Montgomery Elementary School’s pre-kindergarten program on Monday evening.
The students, in brightly decorated graduation caps, processed into the Highland Falls Intermediate School auditorium with their teachers, Allison Lennon and Dana Franchini; led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance; and then impressed all by singing ‘What A Wonderful World’ by Louis Armstrong.
Guest speakers at the ceremony were Superintendent of Schools Dr. Frank Sheboy and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Andrea Tejedor — both remarked on how much the young students learned in their first year of formal education.
