Honors for JIO students
Principal Debbie Brand and the O’Neill High School English teachers have announced this month’s Student Showcase students.
Each month, specific academic groups of high school teachers — English this month — are selecting students for the honor. Each teacher in the department picks one student. The honor is not necessarily for the student’s grades, but for their hard work, Brand said.
There is a bulletin board with the students names and photos in the main lobby of the school; these students’ photos will be posted after Spring Break.
Every teacher in the building will have a chance to select one student through as the school year progresses.
The students honored this month are: freshman Samantha Reeves; sophomores Brandon Farrier and Ellie Lemler; juniors Juan Pantoja, Paula Beth Harvey and Grace Doherty; and seniors Miriam Rice and Eric Wooten.
