The Town Board has designated the engineering firm of Lanc & Tully as its primary engineers for Town of Highlands matters.
There was a unanimous vote on March 11 for the company. They will not be paid a retainer, and used on an as-needed basis. The decision to appoint a town engineer came as board members decided they wanted to have one firm get a handle on the various properties/structures/roads that the town owns and in the town at large so that when issues come up there will be some general knowledge of the community.
“We want to develop a relationship with an engineer prior to having to hire one,” Deputy Supervisor June Gunza said.
The appointment is for the remainder of 2019.
