Organizers of the West Point-Town of Highlands Farmers Market took to their Facebook page last week to remind community residents that warmer days are ahead!
“Our 20th season is quickly approaching — Sundays, June 16 through October 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each week,” they wrote. “Even though it’s hard to imagine, this season there will be even more great foods, produce, fun and activities for visitors and families.”
They said they’re pleased to be offering “the best that the Hudson Valley has to offer” again this summer. Among the things to look forward to:
• Fresh produce and specialty products
• Even more live music this season
• Fantastic weekly special events
• Expanded ‘Funtastic Kids’ activities with more fun than ever for the kids
• Delicious ready-to-go foods
• “Our very own market cookbook” with contributions from the community and vendors
• An extensive collection of used books for sale
• A monthly photo booth opportunity.
And, as a reminder, the market is ecofriendly — “we collect returnable bottles and compost to support community projects”.
“There was always something new to see and be a part of while supporting our local farmers,” they said.
