Obituary – February 11, 2019

Mark C. Julian

July 9, 1958 – January 31, 2019

formerly of Highland Falls

Mark Christopher Julian, 60, of Henrico, Virginia, a wonderful brother, uncle, cousin and friend, was surrounded by family as he went to be with the Lord after a sudden brief illness on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo S. and Kathleen M. (Christoff) Julian.

Mark is survived by his brothers Kevin J. (Ginny) of Mechanicsville, Va. and Brendan D. (Julie) of Henrico, Va.; eight nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; two aunts; and many cousins.

He graduated from Sacred Heart Elementary School and James I. O’Neill High School, both in Highland Falls, and SUNY Delhi with an Associate of Occupational Studies. He made a career with these and various other home improvement skills in New York and Virginia. His “magic touch” with plumbing and HVAC improved almost every home in the family at one time or another. He always went out of his way for clients and family, often at the expense of his personal well-being.

Despite having a fierce work ethic, he made time to enjoy some travel with family to England and Ireland and was committed to his church family of Calvary Chapel Mechanicsville. Assisting with their maintenance, cleaning, and sound board ministries, he gave of his time and talent to matters of eternal significance. Mark’s sacrificial service to others, his unapologetic patriotism, and his humble reliance on Christ will be remembered by many.

Please join us to remember Mark at a Celebration of Life Service, at Calvary Chapel of Mechanicsville, 7193 Stonewall Parkway, Mechanicsville, Va 23111 on Sunday, February 17, at 3 p.m..
